TONY LOW

Bass, Vocals

Tony

Low

An exceptionally solid and consistent bass player, Tony effortlessly locks with Chris to create the driving rhythm section of STATIC 13. Tony's influences on bass guitar include John Entwistle, Jack Casady, John Paul Jones, and Paul McCartney, but he draws on all forms of music for his creative ideas.

Tony comes from a family with a musical tradition. His grandmother was a renowned opera singer who sang for Calvin Coolidge at the White House. An early interest in music led Tony to play the trombone in grade school and culminated in a performance on national T.V. with his junior high school stage band. As a member of the original CHEEPSKATES, Tony (now a bass player) released several albums and enjoyed success as a songwriter and a performer in the U.S. and Europe, where the 'skates were particularly popular. In early 1992, seeking a new musical direction, Tony and guitarist Crunch formed PLUTONIUM, which would later become STATIC 13.
